FINANCIAL LITERACY

As of Sep 2025, the New Albany Housing Authority EnVision Campus presented 9 courses in partnership with local financial institutions on topics ranging from

• Banking basics
• Budgeting
• Spending & Saving
• Debt & Credit Repair
• Homebuying
• Mortage Loan Shopping

In total, 109 NAHA residents were in attendance for the year.

HOMEOWNERSHIP

Eighty-six New Albany Housing Authority residents have enrolled in NAHA's free homeownership program resulting in 7 homes purchased since 2024.

NAHA's first 6-hour homebuyer certification course was held in March 2025 with 10 NAHA residents attending and completing the course- earning their HUD homebuyer certification. 

EXPUNGEMENT

In July, NAHA's EnVision Campus held a free informational session for residents seeking expungement referral services. The Family Self Sufficiency Office partners with Indiana Legal services to offer expungements at no cost to the resident. 

In 2025, 30 residents submitted expungement referrals with 3 successful expungements and even more pending!

EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT

PHARMACY TECH CERTIFICATION

As of 2025, New Albany Housing Authority's EnVision Campus has been home to two successful free on-site pharmacy tech certification courses for NAHA residents. In partnership with Ivy Tech Community College and Work One, NAHA has provided its residents an opportunity to obtain professional certifications at no cost.

THE SPRING 2025 PHARMACY TECH COURSE HAD:

• 8 successful graduates
• 100% passing rate among students who completed the course
• 77% average in final grades

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

YMCA WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE

In partnership with the Floyd County YMCA, the EnVision Campus annually hosts an 8-week program on mindfulness, nutrition and healthy movement for NAHA residents.

Participants of the Spring 2024 YMCA Weight Loss challenge were surveyed and NAHA found:

• 77% of participants surveyed saw improvements in at least 2 areas of their lives
• Over half (55%) of participants surveyed saw improvement in at least 3 areas of their lives
• An improvement in motivation, social and emotional wellbeing and mindfulness were the most frequently reported positive changes

STRESS LESS SESSIONS

In 2025, New Albany Housing Authority Family Self Sufficiency partnered with local community mental health provider, Olive Tree Resources, to present a 7-month series on coping skills, boundaries and mental health & wellness free to NAHA residents. Hosted at the EnVision Campus, participants held safe-space discussions facilitated by licensed mental health professional, April Starks.

CRAFTY CREATIONS

Every month since 2024, the EnVision Campus has hosted free DIY arts and crafts workshops to all NAHA residents serving as an opportunity to relieve stress for residents and foster community connections.

CHARACTER AND LEADERSHIP

STEP UP PROGRAM

STEP Up- Skills Training for Employment Progress program connects Parkview, Broadmeade, and Vance Court residents to resources, individualized case management and local post secondary schools & employers. The EnVision Campus doubles as an office for the STEP Up program.

STEP Up currently has 45 participants enrolled.
