Section 8 or the Housing Choice Voucher program is designed to help low income, elderly and disabled families and individuals obtain safe, equitable housing in the private market.
The voucher recipient is responsible for finding housing that is clean and adequate and accepts the voucher.
Currently the New Albany Housing Authority Section 8 waiting list is closed until further notice.
